By now you've seen them. They inundate your Instagram feed with mouthwatering images of unicorn-colored desserts, mile-high hamburgers oozing melted cheese, and pizza pizzas.

What do they all have in common? Crumbs, drips, and delicious-looking imperfections. For McDonald's, making a splash within the intelligently skeptical Instagram foodie community meant bidding adieu to the days of mashed potatoes as ice cream, and employing new food styling techniques.

Challenge: Style McDonald's classics in an attractive, yet authentic way.
